At New Gild, so much of the magic we create is made real by the incredible people whose dreams we help realize. Without the passion and love of the couples who come to us, we wouldn’t be the artists we are today. Here are a few of the dreamers whose rings we’ve cherished the opportunity to make over the years, and a little bit about the journey that brought them to our door.
Dalton proposed to Clara atop Big Mountain in Montana, surrounded by nothing but snow, trees, and their families at the bottom of the slopes. The duo met one another during their freshman year of college at Mizzou and have been together since their sophomore year. Dalton came to New Gild Jewelers knowing that he needed a custom engagement ring as timeless and beautiful as their love, and was not disappointed. Despite a short timeline, our team worked with him to create the perfect engagement ring for his perfect girl and we ended up loving the result as much as they did. Germaine and Sarah have the kind of effortless love for one another that made working with them and designing their ring feel like a treat. The dynamic duo was looking for a turquoise stone for their custom engagement ring and found their perfect piece shortly after choosing New Gild Jewelers. In Germaine’s own words, their experience was “top of the line…we left happy and had the impression that they were great to work with.” After choosing the perfect stone, Germaine worked independently to design Sarah’s ring and after a few adjustments and CAD (computer-aided design) renderings, had his dream ring. After months of hunting for the right engagement and wedding rings and not finding what they wanted, this couple decided to invest in a custom piece and chose New Gild Jewelers as their creators. Through introductory conversations, Grace realized that we were uniquely understanding and capable of creating the kind of highly detailed piece she wanted. After working through several CAD iterations with them, we built the perfect ring and made her dreams a reality. The one-of-a-kind piece of artwork even made her cry when she saw the finished piece. Faith and Wanda, inarguably two of New Gild Jewelers’ favorites, are an exemplary representation of the kind of eternal love that inspires us to do what we do. Although their wedding has been postponed to 2021 amid COVID-19 complications, their enthusiasm for their nuptials and one another remains constant. Through the process of designing and creating their totally unique engagement rings, we had the pleasure of learning so much about not only them, but about love and ourselves.
